Richmond RAAF Base

It was a family fun day at the Richmond RAAF Base on Saturday, 24 November 2012. My brother and I headed out to Richmond to farewell the Hercules C130. (I'm pretty sure its the C130). I only knew about this family fun day through the family I work with, who the mother of the family works in the military. It was good to know I have connections else where that's not civilian life.

It was a pretty interesting and fun day to see other military personnel, and to have gone into the Hercules, and there was a jet plane, but forgot what it was called :( I'm terrible with naming the planes and the birds in the military. Not only the Hercules, but we scoped out the camo fire truck and ambulance.

There was also a military band playing, which was cool. In uniform and all :) and there was some eye candy for sure, also in uniform ;) ahh, I love my man in uniform! A free sausage sizzle and cold drinks were served, but the lines were long for the food :( So sad but we didn't end up riding in one of the Hercules! :( There was a 30 minutes wait, but I wouldn't've mind waiting if I didn't have the lunch on at the same time.

I don't know how they do it! But these were the seats military personnel sit on when they're on the flight of the Hercules. They're used to it! My brother just chilling!

All in all a great family fun day :) Even though we didn't get to ride one of the Hercules, it was great to scope out the insides of it!
